- ISLAMABAD: After disclosures made by the Central Intelligence Agency’s (CIA) contractor Raymond Davis giving locations of the CIA cells, authorities in Pakistan initiated an operation to bust those secret organizations operating in Pakistan unlawfully and told the Americans to pull out, highly placed Intelligence sources told the Arab News Thursday.
Pakistan’s spy master Gen. Ahmad Shuja Pasha, currently in Washington, is renegotiating what sources termed as “terms of engagements.”
According to senior intelligence officials here, Pasha would tell the American spy chief that Pakistan’s Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) has no objection to anti-terror cooperation between the two agencies but would never tolerate a private CIA network working in Pakistan.
“We are willing to cooperate with the CIA in war on terror … but there is no room for a private network. That is our position and we are going to stick to that,” said an official.
