He had been in power and oppressing his people for a long time. He was acting like a Pharaoh, forgetting the fact that he is one of God’s slaves. He was thinking that he was closer to God than the ordinary people.

The number 3 reminds me of an old film called “Ameer Al- Intiqam” (The Prince of Revenge) in which Anwar Wajdi plays the leading role. The story revolves around a young sailor named Hassan Al-Hilali, who wins the confidence of the owner of a fishing boat and is appointed its captain.

The young man’s colleague Jaafar is not happy with the appointment and becomes jealous, as he wanted to become the ship’s captain in order to use it for smuggling his colleague Mutawalli’s products.

So Jaafar and Mutawalli conspire against Al-Hilali with the support of Shaheen and are able to put him in jail.

Al-Hilali, however, is lucky. In the jail he meets a rich person named Sheikh Jalal, who agrees to give him his wealth after his death.

Al-Hilali is able to get out of the prison and decides to take revenge against the three who have done injustice to him. As a result, he tracks down the three one after another.

This is the situation of the Arab nations, who have already taken revenge against three oppressive rulers: Zine Al-Abidine of Tunisia, Hosni Mubarak of Egypt and now Col. Qaddafi of Libya.

While the prince of revenge crushed three people who had suppressed him, and closed their pages one after another, people in the Arab world are still counting the number of those rulers who have oppressed them.

As in the film “The Prince of Revenge,” one asks: “Oh, who is next? Tell me who’s next…”
