- ISLAMABAD: Former Home Minister of Sindh and husband of Sindh Assembly Speaker, Zulfikar Mirza Saturday accused Federal Interior Minister Rehman Malik of working against Pakistan’s integrity.
Addressing a Press Conference in Karachi on Sunday, he swore upon the Qur'an saying: “Rehman Malik has close relations with killers of Karachi. He is out to destroy Pakistan and working on a foreign agenda to dismember Pakistan”.
Mirza tendered his resignation from the provincial ministry, assembly and from Pakistan People's Party.
He called Malik “a traitor.”
He said: “Both Malik and Muttahida Qaumi Movement’s chief Altaf Hussain have been openly saying “a super power has planned to dismember Pakistan.
“I will furnish all the evidence to Chief Justice Iftkhar Chaudhry, Chief of the Army Staff Gen. Kyani and Chief of ISI Gen. Ahmad Shuja Pasha.”
He said: “I have recordings of Malik’s conversations with several people. He is working on an agenda to harm Pakistan.” Mirza said after his resignation he would work on his own to deliver justice to the people of Karachi and Sindh.
He also accused the MQM of collecting extortion money, kidnapping innocent people and using ambulances for their transportation.
Mirza also alleged that the MQM was behind the assassination of GEO TV’s reporter Wali Khan Babar.
