- JEDDAH: Mayor of Jeddah Hani Abu Ras has asked all branch municipalities to cooperate fully with the divisions of primary medical care and preventive medicine of the Department of Health Affairs for the success of the national vaccination campaign against measles and mumps.
The first of these campaigns will start on Saturday, Sept. 17, and will cover male and female students at all government and private schools, while the second will begin on Nov. 3 and will cover adults between 19-24 years of age and children from nine months to six years.
The Health Ministry runs period immunization campaigns against a number of diseases.
Meanwhile, the mayor signed on Monday a contract worth SR1.3 million to maintain and repair cemeteries in Jeddah.
He signed another contract worth an SR8.6 million to name and number streets of the city.
