- RIYADH: Britain and the Kingdom are to cooperate in the field of museums and antiquities.
The British Institute for Arabian Peninsula Studies’ initiative was discussed by British Ambassador to the Kingdom Sir Tom Phillips and Prince Sultan bin Salman, chairman of the Saudi Commission for Tourism & Antiquities, during the ambassador’s visit to the commission on Sunday.
The pair also discussed the Duke of York Prince Andrew’s expected visit to the Kingdom, and the opening day of the upcoming British Council art exhibition by the beginning of next year.
Phillips informed Prince Sultan of the British Museum’s intention to hold an exhibition about Haj. They also reviewed how people could further benefit from the short training courses held in institutes that specialize in tourism in the United Kingdom.
