The veteran character actor, best known to U.S. audiences for his 12-year stint in Star Trek franchises, plays a down-on-his-luck Irishman who ends up living in his car. Meaney shares the screen with BBC/NBC "Merlin" star Colin Morgan and Finnish actress Milka Ahlroth. He says the film is about three characters who "have come to a crossroads, they're all a bit lost" in their lives.

"Parked" is funded with Irish and Finnish money, an arrangement Meaney calls "the way forward" for the European film industry during tough economic times.
