In prepared remarks released ahead of Obama’s speech at a United Nations meeting on Libya Tuesday morning, the president urges remaining Qaddafi loyalists to join the new Libya.

Obama cautions that there are still difficult days ahead. But he says the early success in Libya is an example of what the international community can accomplish when it stands together as one.

Obama is also announcing that the US is sending its ambassador back to Tripoli to head a reopened US embassy there.
