The ambassador thanked the Saudi government for recruiting doctors and paramedics from Pakistan and informed the minister about the potential areas of cooperation between the two countries.

Al-Rabeeah said the Kingdom would continue to broaden the scope of bilateral cooperation.

It was decided at the meeting that the Saudi Ministry of Health and the Embassy of Pakistan would work together to expedite the process of recruiting health professionals from Pakistan and to explore further avenues of bilateral interaction.

The Pakistani ambassador on Tuesday met Agriculture Minister Fahd Balghunaim and discussed cooperation in agricultural research, livestock, food and meat processing and dairy development. The ambassador said Pakistan Agricultural Research Council (PARC) could provide expertise to Saudi Arabia in the field of desert, dry land and peri-urban agriculture.

He identified the areas where investment opportunities for Saudi entrepreneurs existed in Pakistan.

Balghunaim evinced strong interest in closer cooperation with Pakistan in agriculture and livestock development.

The ambassador separately met with Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Nizar bin Obeid Madani and apprised him on the flood situation in Pakistan and the need for the international support for the affected people.

The minister assured the ambassador that Saudi Arabia would always stand by its Pakistani brothers in distress.
