Nora Jurman, who is a third grade student at a girls school in the town of Hafayez in Asir province, was playing near the wooden blackboard when the accident occurred.

The girl's father said he rushed to the school when the school principal called him about the accident. “Nora and some other girls were playing near the blackboard when it tumbled on her,” the principal told Arab News.

She said she had to call the girl’s father to rush her to Khamis Mushayt because the clinic nearby did not have a doctor or an ambulance.  The girl is expected to remain in hospital for three days.
