- RIYADH: A symposium on “Risk Strategies for Basel III Compliance and Beyond Extracting Business Value from Regulatory Change” will be held at the Institute of Banking (IOB) headquarters in Riyadh on Wednesday.
The institute is organzing the event in association with Moody’s Analytics.
SAMA Vice Governor Abdulrahman Al-Hamidy will make the opening remarks after the welcome note by IOB Director General Jamaan Al-Wagdany.
The symposium will bring together global and local experts who will present and discuss various topics. They include: new Basel III regulatory developments and compliance requirements, stress testing; understanding the common approaches and pitfalls, managing liquidity risk under regulatory pressure, regulatory capital management and reporting and the impact of Basel III, ICAAP/Economic Capital Management.
Robert King, managing director, Moody’s Analytics EMEA Region, is scheduled to address the event.
Senior analysts from Moody’s Analytics and chief risk officers from Riyad Bank, SAMBA, National Commercial and Al-Rajhi Bank will also speak at the sessions.
