Gangadhar Yempalli, 32, who came to work as a laborer, was living in horrific conditions under the Sharafiya Bridge after escaping from his sponsor. He was also partly paralyzed.

On receiving information about Yempalli’s situation, Indian Youth Welfare Association (IYWA) General Secretary Mir Ghazanfar Ali Zaki provided medical and food assistance and brought the case to the notice of the Consul for Community Welfare S.D. Moorthy.

Moorthy took quick action and had a medical done on the dysfunctional right side of Yempalli and then approached Tarheel and Jawazat authorities. It was with their cooperation and assistance that the Indian consul secured an exit visa for the man.

The Indian Consulate General, Jeddah, provided him with an air ticket to Hyderabad and he left Jeddah and was reunited with his family. Yempalli thanked the consulate authorities and praised IYWA for helping him to return home to Kamareddy, Nizamabad.
