The Management Trainee Program initiative is part of the bank's commitment to develop talent for the Kingdom's retail banking sector and aims to attract the best Saudi financial graduates from across the country.

Saad Al-Arfaj, general manager of human resources for Saudi Hollandi Bank, said the latest courses being offered by SHB Academy are the second half of the bank's management trainee program.

"By providing training to aspiring and gifted young Saudi nationals we hope that we will be able to play a role in shaping the next generation of Saudi retail bankers," said Al-Arfaj.

"The SHB Academy and Saudi Hollandi Bank can offer promising graduates extensive knowledge through both taught learning as well as on-the-job experience,” said the official.

“Our comprehensive management concept aims to provide our program trainees with all of the specialized retail banking and management skills that they will need to achieve their full potential with Saudi Hollandi Bank. We aim to place our trainees, in a variety of leading retail positions at the bank."

The program will provide 15 graduate employees at Saudi Hollandi Bank with four different curricula over a nine month period.

Courses developed by the SHB Academy as part of the management trainee program include both theory and vocational skills.

The first two modules will cover the basics of retail banking including accounting and retail management.

The third modules will cover management, administration and marketing skills, while the final one will be focused on practical applications.

"During the last two months of the program each trainee will be paired with a department of Saudi Hollandi Bank's retail unit to learn inside-out the workings of the bank. Once they've graduated our trainees will be fast-tracked in their career with the bank," added Al-Arfaj.
