In a request to Custodian of the Two Holy Mosque King Abdullah, the council demanded the personal presence of the minister in the house during a debate on water and electricity problems, Al-Watan newspaper reported.

Head of the consultative council's Water, Services and Utilities Committee Muhammad bin Hamid bin Ahmad Naqadi said the members will begin their discussions with general issues before going in detail into specific issues, such as dams.

He said the discussions will also include investments in the power sector and future plans of the ministry.

Naqadi said the complaints of the citizens with regard to water and electricity will figure prominently in the discussions.

He said since the announcement of the decision to summons the minister to the Shoura Council on the council’s website, the committee received a number of complaints from citizens concerning water and electricity problems in their regions.
