- JEDDAH: The Saudi bourse extended a rally into a seventh session, as petrochemical and banking stocks gained following advances by oil prices.
The Tadawul All-Share Index (TASI) added 0.9 percent to 6,384 points, and the petrochemical index climbed 0.5 percent.
The value of traded shares reached SR6.29 billion on Saturday.
Heavyweight Saudi Basic Industries Corp. (SABIC) increased 0.8 percent.
Oil prices rose for a fifth straight day on Friday, on concerns about potential supply disruptions in Iran and Iraq and recent signs of a strengthening US economy.
The banking index added 0.8 percent.
SABB bank surged 3.1 percent after saying in a statement to the bourse that its board proposed distributing a one-for-three bonus share and a SR0.65 cash dividend for 2011.
