Abdullah Al-Molafi, undersecretary at the ministry, reaffirmed the ministry’s determination to solve such problems, Al-Watan newspaper reported Tuesday.

“If any employee has the feeling that he is being treated unfairly with regard to the grade of his job, he can approach the ministry, which is committed to redressing such grievances,” he said.

The official made the remarks in his speech after opening the ministry’s branch building in Hafar Al-Batin in the Eastern Province.

Al-Molafi said the process of making employees permanent is based on performance reports filed by concerned government departments.

“If any employee feels that he is entitled to get promoted to a grade higher than that of his present position, he can approach the ministry. The committee handling the confirmation of employees at the ministry would collect all the information concerning the employee from its database. If the committee found that he had a case, then the ministry would take appropriate steps to rectify it,” he said.

Al-Molafi said that the ministry is keen on strictly adhering to the directives issued by Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah with regard to making government employees permanent.

“If any ministry deliberately delayed confirmation of an employee without any valid reason, that would be a violation of royal orders,” he said.

The ministry’s branch building in Hafar Al-Batin was constructed on an area covering 4,000 square meters at a cost of SR18 million.

Al-Molafi said the new building would enable the ministry to further improve the services rendered to people in the region.

The women’s section at the branch office will start operations from next week onwards, according to Abdul Aziz Al-Khonain, spokesman of the ministry.
