The Obhur park has an area of 20,545 square meters and includes 14,000 square meters of grassed area, 49 palm trees and several toys for children to play on. It also has a half-kilometer walkway, a public parking lot and a special parking area for the disabled, which accommodates about 60 cars.

The mayor said the municipality was committed to providing the city’s residents with public parks. “The public parks have environmental, aesthetic, social, cultural and entertaining objectives,” he said while calling for providing children with sufficient space for social and physical development within their neighborhoods.

The mayor asked the residents to preserve the green areas and to give more attention to planting trees.
