Maj. Gen. Mansour Al-Turki, a ministry spokesman, identified the three as Hussein Ali Al-Baraki, Shah Ali Al-Shaukan and Moussa Jaafar Al-Mabyouk.

“We’ll consider their initiative when looking into their cases,” the spokesman said.

He also declared the arrest of two wanted suspects, bringing the remainder to 18. “We’ll announce the names of the arrested later.”

Al-Turki reiterated his call to the wanted suspects to surrender as quickly as possible before security agents tracked them down.

He said the 23 men were working according to a foreign agenda, but he did not single out any country for blame. He added that the men were sponsored financially or supplied with weapons and were working as part of an organization.

The ministry has warned the public against providing shelter to the wanted men, and said anyone found doing so would be prosecuted.

Al-Turki pointed out that it was evident to the Ministry of Interior the men were working systematically to spread violence. He said the wanted men had criminal records.

“Some of the wanted were also previously arrested for violent offenses and signed a pledge not to be involved in such behavior, but they regressed,” said Al-Turki.
