The summit will feature some of the foremost minds in telecommunications.

More than 200 senior-level decision-makers from across the industry will attend the event.

The event, organized by National Exhibitions Company and Informa Saudi Arabia, is being held with the support of Mohamed Jamil bin Ahmed Mulla, Minister of Communications and Information Technology.

The event offers a unique event portfolio of exhibition, conference and workshops.

"Saudi Arabia is by far the largest telecoms market in the GCC accounting for 66 percent of total mobile subscribers, 59 percent of total fixed line connections and 58 percent of total internet users," said Deep Marwaha, general manager of Informa Saudi Arabia.

"Compared to its regional counterparts, the Kingdom's regulatory framework has enabled an increasingly competitive environment, attracting major players from around the GCC,” Marwaha said.

“Saudi Arabia's compelling demographics, its bright economic outlook combined with the world's busiest mobile data network and its relatively low Broadband penetration indicate that this market is on the verge of explosive growth," Marwaha added.

According to a report issued by NCB Capital, the telecom sector in Saudi Arabia is the largest in the Middle East with more than SR50 billion in revenues, generated by the leading telecom players.

The sector has seen rapid liberalization and development in the past six years, which positioned the Saudi market ahead of many other developing and even developed economies.

The latest CITC figures indicate that the broadband penetration rate reached 40.5 percent of the population by the end of Q3 of 2011 which represent 11.5 million users against 2.7 million users (9.7 percent) at the end of 2010.

Wireless broadband users are largely responsible for recent growth, accounting for 84 percent of all broadband users against around 61 percent at the end of 2010.

With mobile penetration reaching almost 200 percent, NCB Capital expects that the focus for operators is moving away from acquiring new incremental subscribers, towards deriving more value from existing subscribers.

Therefore, the penetration rate is expected to grow at a slower pace of 5 percent to reach 207 percent in 2012.

Against the backdrop of these developments, Telsa is the only dedicated B2B Telecoms and ICT event in Saudi Arabia that brings together local, regional and international key players from the private and public sector to give insights on the future of the Saudi telecoms and ICT segment, which makes the event an ideal networking opportunity and paves the way for future investment opportunities.

Participating companies include Mobily (official telecom partner), Ericsson (platinum sponsor), LCC (silver sponsor), integrated telecom (silver sponsor), Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (official supporter) and many more exhibitors, elite speakers and partners.

The Saudi Telecoms and ICT Summit at TELSA will be held alongside the exhibition.
