The race is conducted for locally-bred and imported horses.

Custodian of Two Holy Mosques Cup for Imported Horses was handed to Minister of State, Member of Council of Ministers and Commander of the National Guard Prince Miteb bin Abdullah after the horse Kareem of the Stables of King Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz Al-Saud & Sons won the race, while the cup for locally-bred horses was won by Badr Al-Kawakib belonging to the Al-Shareef Al-Abdali & Sons Stable.

Prince Sattam gave away the cups, prizes and gifts to other winning horses' owners and jockeys, the Saudi Press Agency reported.
