The group's Chairman Muhammad Mohi Ali Bassami opened the group's Jeddah branch at a ceremony held at the office located behind Binladen Plaza in Sharafiya district. General Manager Abdul Rahman Al-Asmari, Head of Operations P.P Alippu, Country Sales Manager Mir Murtuza, PRO Chemban Abbas, Muhammad Seethi (admin and finance manager), Thoufeeq Al-Ghamdi and Ameen Ahmed were among those attending the ceremony.

According to the group officials, Al-Bassami is now the single largest cargo operating company to India from Saudi Arabia. The group's express cargo by road features service to more than 200 locations in the Kingdom by making use of over 4,000 trucks, delivery within 24 hours, online tracking system, insurance coverage and SMS tracking service. The group's service also covers all other GCC countries.

Free pick-up service and full insurance coverage are available for door-to-door cargo service to all major cities and states in India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Indonesia and Bangladesh. As an inaugural offer, a discount of 23 percent was announced for one month. There is also a special discount in airfreight to the Indian cities of Kozhikode, Kochi, Thiruvanantapuruam, Lukhnow, Hyderabad and Bangalore.
