Cristiano Ronaldo has just launched his new app for iPhone and Android. The app is the premier mobile destination for the global football star to engage with his millions of fans around the world, while encouraging them to interact with each other. The app enables fans to access “everything CR in their pocket” with the latest information about the popular international athlete, including official news, social media buzz, photos, videos, games and a fan wall.

“It’s been great to see the love and support that I’m getting from my fans all over the world, so this is a great way to be even closer to them,” said Ronaldo.

Ronaldo has a massive online audience with more than six million Twitter followers and is the most popular athlete on Facebook with 40 million fans, currently adding over a million fans each month. By downloading and engaging with the app, fans can earn points — and those with the most can compete to win autographed Ronaldo merchandise. The app is available for free download at both the iTunes App Store and the Android Marketplace. It can also be downloaded by visiting http://road.ie/Cristiano.

If football's not your game, then why not try golf? Fairway Solitaire combines the card game, a golfing theme and a meddlesome gopher named McDivot. There are over 60 golf courses and an entertaining storyline. Golf elements allow players to employ different strategies at different points in the game. There are also unpredictable wild cards, sand traps and water hazards — just like in a real round of golf. It's available for the iPad, iPhone and iPod touch at the App Store.

A different type of game is on offer through The Pinball Arcade, whose developers claim it's the most accurate and realistic pinball videogame ever created. All tables are played in 3D with the most advanced pinball physics engine ever developed. The game play, visuals and sound effects are all authentic. Four pinball tables are currently available: Tales of the Arabian Nights, Ripley's Believe It or Not, Theatre of Magic and Black Hole. Each month two new pinball tables will be added to the lineup and players will be able to sample free versions of each release. The Pinball Arcade has just launched for iPhone, iPad and Android, with Xbox 360, PlayStation3, Macintosh and PlayStation Vita coming in March. Play a trial through www.pinballarcade.com.

The last new amusement to reveal this week is "Warp." This stealth-action puzzler kicked off Microsoft's Xbox LIVE Arcade House Party on Feb. 15. A new Arcade game will be featured at the House Party every Wednesday for four weeks. In Warp, players become "Zero," a little alien who's been captured and experimented on in an underwater research facility. Zero can escape either by using violence or by evading capture in a no-kills, stealth game. Warp lets players discover the most effective ways to solve puzzles and play the game their way. Warp becomes available on the PlayStation Network and PC in mid-March.
