I, architect Hamad Nasser Al-Shagawi the owner of Afniah Consultants, and a board member of Saudi Council Engineers — 4th round, would like to clarify some erroneous information published in the article, in which the writer says "Hani Mohammad Al-Qahtany, faculty member at Dammam University’s College of Architecture and Planning, is coordinating the research project in Saudi Arabia, and it was he who introduced Nader Ardalan, an architectural expert from the prestigious Harvard University was in Dammam on Wednesday, to local researchers and academics."

I would like to clarify: “Hani Mohammad Al-Qahtany was never involved in the research project in Saudi Arabia or any other cities involved in the research. Afniah Consultants, represented by its owner and general manager Architect Hamad Nasser Al-Shagawi, handles the coordination for the research team in Saudi Arabia by providing the team entry visas and doing whatever necessary to get the job done by coordinating with governmental and nongovernmental parties.

“As for the scientific and official part, Professor Mashary Al-Naim is the Saudi Arabia representative and team member of the research and it was he who introduced not only Nader Ardalan to the local researchers and academics but the full team of Harvard that visited Dammam in June, 2011, which was the first visit.”
