The civil servants will get five days more than that they had in 2011. The holiday will begin on Oct. 18 (Dhul Hijjah 2) and end on Nov. 2 (Dhul Hijjah 17). The first working day after Eid is Nov. 3, Al-Madinah newspaper reported yesterday quoting government sources.

There will be a 12-day break for government staff to mark Eid Al-Fitr. The holiday will start on Aug. 13 (Ramadan 25) and will end on Aug. 24 (Shawwal 6). Civil servants will get one day more for Eid Al-Fitr compared to the holidays last year.

The nine-day school holiday in the middle of the second semester will begin on March 22 and end on March 31, the report said.
