The conference, under the aegis of Executive Supervisor General of the KFSHRC General Foundation Qassim Al-Qasbi, will discuss the latest developments in surgical techniques and education.

Eminent surgeons from European and Arab countries will participate in the event.

The conference will discuss 50 research papers covering future of keyhole surgery and its impact on surgical training, planning surgical training programs to suit the requirements of patients and the latest developments and techniques of surgeries involving the esophagus, liver, bile duct, pancreas, colon, intestines and rectum.

It will also discuss breast tumor surgery, laparoscopy in organ transplants, organ transplants in liver and bile duct cancer.

The conference will also discuss the use of robots in surgery and its impact on the surgeon and patient, according to a statement by KFSHRC’s head of surgery Zain Al-Shareef.

Experts in blood vessel surgery and conservative radiation treatments are also participating in the conference.

The conference will also examine controversial topics including fat removal techniques. Anesthetists will discuss the latest developments in their field and ways to minimize pain in post surgical states.

The conference will also feature a speech by Ahmad Al-Hassan on the impact of the Internet and other media on the cognitive functions of brain in multi-language speakers.
