They were ruled out Monday, a day after O’Connell hurt ligaments in his left knee and Murray bruised a bone in his right knee in the 17-17 draw with the French at Stade de France.
O’Connell is expected to be sidelined for up to six weeks and Murray for a month.
Ireland hosts Scotland on Saturday and visits England on March 17.
Munster scrumhalf Tomas O’Leary and Connacht lock Mike McCarthy were added to Ireland’s squad to replace the injured players.
