In his acceptance letter following a proposal made by Al-Naimi, the king expressed hope that the Waad City project would bring about remarkable economic progress to the Northern Border Province.

Al-Naimi said the giant project would contribute to the development of the Northern Border Province in the wake of directives issued by the king to ministers to extend all facilities for the successful implementation of the project.
