- The STC Group and Microsoft signed a memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on the sidelines of the World Mobile Congress in Barcelona, Spain.
This MoU provides for a strategic partnership and will strengthen the group’s efforts to expand its qualitative services to customers as well as partners in the Kingdom and abroad.
Ziad Al-Otaibi, STC Group’s chief technology officer and Ghassan Hasbani, STC Group’s CEO, International Operations, met with the senior staff of Huwaei and the CEO of Facebook during the gathering
Ziad Al-Otaibi pointed out that such gatherings have a host of strategic objectives. He said the Barcelona conference is a top event for key delegates from the telecom industry and the group joined the sessions to discuss the crucial issues and critical challenges facing the industry.
He said the STC Group is always keen to meet industry magnates and decision makers from across the global telecom community to realize its goals of its expansion through a wide variety of reach-out opportunities and interaction with telecom authorities and industry experts.
The group gains alternative strategy insights from the industry’s movers and shakers, to sustain competitiveness and profitability, he said.
In line with its keenness to be present at global telecom forums, STC Group was also the platinum sponsor of the Barcelona held conference.
During the conference, its senior staff met with their counterparts of a number of telecom conglomerates and took part in panels on how to make investment a success in addition to reviewing mutual interests.
The conference in Barcelona is the biggest of its kind in the world where the top-level discussions and talks focused on vital issues and challenges facing the industry.
