- Zee Aflam, the first Pan-Arab 24-hour free-to-air Bollywood film channel dedicated to Arabic audiences available through Nilesat, has extended its reach to audiences by now being available also on Arabsat, at the frequency 12111 MHz.
This is in line with the channel’s strategy to serve as the unique gateway for Bollywood movies for a wider pan Arab audience by enhancing its ease of access to more viewers.
Having tailored its programming to suit local sensitivities and Arab tastes, the films screened on Zee Aflam are increasingly becoming staple fare for Arabic audiences.
Over the years, the channel has enhanced its viewership across all Arabs, both males and females.
“Zee Aflam enjoys a wide fan following in the Arab world and is hugely popular among Arabic speaking audiences across the Middle East, especially the GCC nations, as well as Europe. Currently broadcast via Nilesat, launching the new Arabsat frequency would considerably enhance its prestigious profile among Arab fans and viewers, enabling the channel to achieve a 20 percent growth in its audience reach and ratings,” said Patrick Samaha, director of business development, Zee Aflam.
“Zee Aflam telecasts super-hit Bollywood films dubbed into Arabic, and has evolved its profile as a preferred family channel, as indicated by the growing reach and ratings in the past years. Zee Aflam is also becoming a preferred marketing platform for professional companies aspiring to reach out a captive audience of Arabic families, especially in Saudi Arabia, UAE and other GCC nations,” added Samaha.
Zee Aflam will soon organize a competition for its Pan-Arab viewers, whereby winners can gain the opportunity to travel and discover India’s booming Bollywood film industry and attend film shootings, in collaboration with leading production companies.
Zee Aflam’s new frequency is 12111 MHz via ArabSAT BADR 4 TP-21.
