He said that Maaden plays a major role in the development of the Kingdom's mineral resources and will significantly contribute to the economic growth of the country.

"We are building some of the world's largest and most exciting phosphate and aluminum projects as well as expanding our existing gold projects. We are also working hard on exploring vast areas of the Kingdom for new mining opportunities," said Al-Mudaifer.

The program commenced in early March. It consists of sessions designed to develop the trainees' basic skills for practical orientation toward Maaden businesses, to enhance their management skills and fine-tune their job functionality.

The training program allows attendees to maximize their potential even in areas outside their disciplines. It also promotes better appreciation and understanding of the organization's functions and operations besides the development of technical and professional job requirements and skills.

"In order to accomplish our objective of building a world-class minerals enterprise, we will require a large number of people with diverse backgrounds and expertise to join us. From an employment perspective, we are much more than a mining company," said Al-Mudaifer.

The program is aimed at strengthening Maaden's culture through greater organizational understanding and effectiveness among employees while continuing to develop future leaders of the company.

The professional development program committee is composed of Miteb Al-Dirwish, Ibrahim Al-Jassim and Mobarak Al-Saad and Fadel Al-Dulaimi.
