- InterContinental Alkhobar recently celebrated the annual Star Nite 2011 for the third consecutive year.
- The event featured many enjoyable activities to entertain and showcase talents of colleagues as well as to recognize some outstanding achievements in 2011.
One of the striking features at the event was the IHG Service Awards presentation for those who rendered loyal and dedicated service to the company for periods ranging from 5 to 30 years. They were awarded service pins, personalized plaques and certificates with cash awards.
In order to make this special night a memorable one, Saudis, Indians, Indonesians, Pakistanis, Bangladeshis and Nepalese who are among 17 nationalities employed at InterContinental Alkhobar, presented spectacular cultural displays to showcase their different cultures, local customs and also the company initiatives.
The highlights of the evening were the awarding of 13 Star of the Years and 2 Colleagues of the Year Awards. The night culminated in the grand raffle draw where every colleague was lucky to win an expensive prize.
General Manager Josef Sorger and Chief Financial Officer Azzam Abu Hadhoud were the chief guests.
