As the Yas Arena swerved to the racing beats of David Guetta, the man proved he has nothing to prove. The World’s Number One DJ is exactly that: The world's number one. Belting out euphoric beats, Guetta brought life to a full house. He owned the night and owned the hearts of 12,500 people that night. March 3 in UAE’s capital Abu Dhabi was all about the beat.

He opened with his phenomenal hit “Sweat” featuring Snoop Dogg and set the stage ablaze. "Nothing but the beat" lighted up the stage with laser lights bouncing off the stage and reflecting the mood of the night.

Tracks from his fifth studio album, “Nothing But the Beat,” the multidimensional sound system and all-the-bells production opened this year’s first Yas Island Show Weekend’ season at the Yas Arena.

FLASH Entertainment announced sell-out at midday on Friday.

The clock struck midnight and the two-time Grammy Award-winning DJ created an unbelievable experience during his two-hour set at the Yas Arena on one of the most brilliant chill evenings of the year.

“Where Them Girls At,” ”Without You,” “Titanium” and “Turn Me On” featuring Nicki Minaj were biggest crowd pleasers that night. His DJ set was astonishing, as he played mixes of electronic music with tracks of his own and other artists like Avicii, Swedish House Mafia and Coldplay amongst others.

Mira Sadek from FLASH Entertainment said: “David Guetta’s show was a great way to open the first Arena show of the Yas Island Show Weekends this year.”

“We are looking forward to a whole host of events planned for the rest of the season, this is just the beginning of what 2012 has in store for Abu Dhabi and the region!” she added.

Based in Abu Dhabi, FLASH Entertainment is the region’s premier live events company.

Thirteen-time award winner, including Best Concert in its inaugural year 2008, FLASH was behind some of the most successful sports and entertainment events in the region.

All day and all night long, 17,000 people danced away to the madness at Sandance on March 9. The massive crowd swayed to the beats of their favorite artists from 3 p.m. to 3 a.m. and loved every minute of it.

As Snow Patrol serenaded the crowd earlier on at Sandance festival, Calvin Harris and Erick Morillo lit the grounds on fire with the upbeat rhythms and a beautiful musical symphony. Snow Patrol, the Irish alternative rock band, is famous for their tracks like “Chasing Cars and Run,” played with electronic music artists Erick Morillo, the Columbian-American producer, and heartthrob Calvin Harris.

Sandance is a prodigy of Atlantis, The Palm in Dubai’s day-to-night music festival, held on the resort’s Sandance Beach. As the world’s best performed, overlooking the spectacular Dubai skyline, the vibe at Sandance is nothing less than electrifying. The Dubai crowd reveled in the luxury of their favorite band and artists from across the world.

Packed-out sessions this year with its unique mix of indie rock and dance music masters, the music was a mix of laid back and electric, which was a perfect mix as the day turned into night.

Calvin Harris, the Scottish DJ and singer played at Indulge from 1 a.m. to 3 a.m. and served justice to the night as Morillo thrilled fans who had come down to Dubai for the extraordinary event. If Dubai was looking for “love in a hopeless place,” they found it with Calvin’s music that night.

It has just been announced that Armand Van Helden, Kaiser Chiefs, Zane Lowe, Rizzle Kicks and Soul II Soul are to headline the next Sandance on April 6.

UAE provided the perfect weekend getaway with overwhelming music, stimulating vibe with magical performances that left thousands in a state of trance.
