- HAIL: Muhammad bin Saleh Abdullah Al-Zinadi, who was on Saudi Arabia’s wanted list, was seriously injured during a shootout with security forces in Awamiyah in the eastern Qatif region, the Interior Ministry’s official spokesman announced.
Three security men were injured during the gunfire on Thursday.
The spokesman said Al-Zinadi was rushed to hospital in a grave condition after he was struck by a bullet.
He said people near him tried to treat him at a house, but when his condition worsened they were forced to take him to hospital.
The spokesman reiterated that security forces would not relent in hunting down wanted terrorists and dealing with them.
He asked the rest of those on the wanted list to give themselves in voluntarily and said such actions would be taken into consideration in court.
Al-Zinadi was number 17 on the wanted list announced by the Ministry of Interior on Jan. 2.
