- RIYADH: Syrian intelligence has practically begun a plan to wage a sectarian strife by distorting facts aimed at spreading sectarian bickering in cities known with sectarian and national diversity, a Syrian military source said.
Col. (retd.) Wiham Aqidat said the Syrian Army carried out a massacre in Homs and transferred corpses of the deaths to the National Hospital to give an indication that the incident was a result of "crimes" committed by the Free Syrian Army and Islamist fighters.
The Syrian regime was reportedly planning to bury bodies in mass graves away from the eyes of international humanitarian organizations, a matter that led some rebel fighters enter the hospital as the Syrian government cut medical and basic supplies from the city and hospital as well, the colonel said.
This led to the increase of death tolls and Syrian media allegedly said the reason (for death tolls) was attributed to the entry of fighters and banning arrival of medical supplies, he said.
The Syrian intelligence, further, opted to kill some doctors and kidnapped others on purely sectarian grounds, he pointed out. The Syrian regime is planning a hellish scheme aimed at distorting image of opposition and portraying it as a sectarian move, he said.
He said Iran has provided Syria with Israeli-made weapons so as to be left in Homs and other areas witnessing protests whereby the opposition, namely the free Syrian army, could use them. This plan is aimed at distorting image of free Syrian army and fighters to denote that the opposition is agents of Israel, he said.
Iran, further, provided Syria million of counterfeit dollars in an attempt to say that certain Arab and regional countries are trying to destroy Syrian economy through pumping millions of counterfeit dollars, he noted.
The Syrian regime is now set to scuttle Kofi Annan’s peace plan and Assad will not implement the plan, but, however, people are waiting for the April 10 post period, Col. Aqidat was quoted as saying.
Damascus is now subject to Syrian intelligence organs, leaders from Quds Corp. of Iran who orchestrated to quell protests in Iran in 2009, fighters from Hezbollah Party and Sadr Group who were trained on sectarian fighting, he said.
The Syrian Air Force conducted intensive air raids on Tafintinaz town in the context of an elimination war in this region. Until the April 10 deadline, Assad plans to kill as many as possible from the Syrian opposition groups and Syrians, in general, to keep their silence during the next few days, he said.
Weapons used in Syria are composed of canons and Russian-made helicopters which are designed to destroy towns where the Grand Mosque in Tafintinaz town has been under heavy bombardment since this morning, he added.
