- JEDDAH: The Welfare Society for Matrimony and Family Guidance in Jeddah has granted soft loans and financial assistance of more than SR1.5 million to 200 young men and women.
The group’s financial controller Nawwaf Al-Mansouri, while making this announcement, said the society would continue its support to young men and women wishing to get married so as to meet the costs of wedding. “The society will weekly receive applications for assistance in cash and kind. We will always support young men and women to build families,” he said.
Al-Mansouri said the society has increased its subsidies and facilitated its procedures in order to enable young couples to obtain soft loans and grants. He called on wealthy and welfare-loving people to donate generously to the society so as to continue its noble mission.
The society specializes in helping Saudis bear the rising costs of wedding and build families. It also provides young male and female Saudis planning to marry with training on how to build and maintain strong families. It is also attempting to reduce celibacy and to achieve social solidarity through specialized programs being implemented by professional instructors.
