They also discussed ways and means of enhancing interaction between the parliamentarians of the two countries. It was emphasized that “friendship groups” already working in the two institutions would promote cooperation through regular exchange of delegations, sharing of experiences and closer coordination at international forums.

Khan held a separate meeting with the Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Shoura Council Abdullah Alaskar, and discussed modalities of establishing a mechanism for long-term bilateral cooperation between the parliamentary institutions of the two countries.
