“Growing investment in tourism heralds a bright future for the sector,” he said while addressing the Social Responsibility Forum, adding that the tourism sector would boost the national economy. “It will also provide a lot of job opportunities for young Saudi men and women.”

He underscored the progress achieved by the tourism sector within the past few years. He spoke about growing interest in tourism at global level as a result of its economic and social importance.

“It’s a good source of income for the national economy,” the SCTA chief said and called for greater cooperation between public and private sectors to further strengthen the country’s tourism industry by making use of its tourism potentials.

“Social responsibility has become a major trend of public and private sectors in recent years and this is a manifestation of their active participation in social development programs,” he said.
