- Saud Al-Bawardi, chief commercial officer (CCO) at Zain KSA, has announced the launch of the first device (router) that supports 4G and 3G.
Zain is the first operator in the Kingdom and the Middle East to offer such a device.
This is a continuation of what the company started since it entered the Saudi market — to keep up with the latest global technology in communications and information (ICT), especially in data transfer.
Al-Bawardi said the new device is a wireless distributor powered by electricity. Its users can move it from one place to another. It is also an ideal device to provide services to small and medium enterprises sector as it enables users to simultaneously share it with a large number of people.
The device also supports speeds of up to 70 MB and is available in Zain World flagships in Riyadh, Jeddah and Dammam.
Al-Bawardi said the company is working to provide services and new offerings and to keep up with the rise of communications and information technology taking place in the world now in an attempt to meet the wishes of its customers by providing them with emerging new technologies in the ICT fields.
The CCO said the company is undertaking many development projects that would improve the network infrastructure which made it witness a great and accelerated development to its network since its inception until now, which helped the company to provide many of the offers and new services that commensurate with the various segments of users of its network and their diverse usages.
