- The concluding ceremony of the Prince Naif competition for the memorization of the Holy Book will be held on Saturday evening at the club of the officers of the internal security forces.
- Security employees from all over the Kingdom take part in this event, which started on March 17.
CEO of the competition, Brig. Ayed bin Muhammad Al-Qarni, director of the department of guidance at the general security, said final qualifications were held for five days in Riyadh from April 7.
He said 152 security men from all the regions of the Kingdom participated in these qualifications.
The CEO said the competition aimed at enabling the security forces to memorize the Qur'an, connecting them to the Holy Book of Allah, reinforcing their belief, indicating the role of the ministry in servicing the Qur'an and boosting the piety of the security forces.
He said the competition was divided into five main categories. The first was the memorization and Tarteel (recitation) of
the entire book. The second covered 20 chapters, the third 10 chapters, the fourth five chapters and the fifth two chapters.
Five winners of each category will receive financial awards ranging between SR4,000 to SR50,000.
Each of the 225 participants will receive an encouraging award of SR1,000. A total amount of SR875,000 was dedicated to the competition.
