Fahd Al-Tukheifi, deputy minister of labor, listed conditions for employing women, one of them being a ban on factories from forcing women to work between 5 p.m. and 6 a.m.

He said the employment of women does not require a permit from the Ministry of Labor.

Other conditions listed by Al Tukheifi included a commitment to working, the number of working hours should be appropriate and ensuring parity in pay between men and women workers.

One of the businesswomen asked the Labor Ministry to remove quickly from its records any employee who leaves his employer. She said while the name is removed from social insurance records straightaway, the Labor Ministry takes a while to do the same thing.

Al Tukheifi acknowledged and promised to resolve the issue.
