- AHSA: Fateh proved that their 2-1 win over Al-Ittifaq in the King's Cup quarterfinal first leg last Saturday was no fluke when they beat them again in the second leg 3-2 Tuesday night to advance to the semifinal on aggregate score of 5-3.
Ittifaq actually made the first score through its Argentine striker Sebastian Tagliabué in the 19th minute but it didn't take long for Fateh to equalize when their Brazilian midfielder Elton Jose made a stunning goal in the 23rd minute of the game followed by another goal 4 minutes later by Hamdan Alhamdan and a third goal by Doris Fuakumputu.
Yahya Al-Shehri of Ittifaq tried to close the gap by slamming home a goal two minutes after the second half started.
In the end, the game finished 3-2 in favor of Fateh. Now, Fateh is scheduled to meet Al-Nasr in the semi final next Sunday in Riyadh.
Also, taking place in Riyadh is the match between Hilal and Ahli this Monday night. The second leg of the semifinals will be next Friday for both matches.
