In winning the centerpiece Class A men’s singles crorwn for the second straight year the top-seeded Al Saad started strongly and displayed consistent tennis as he moved the Moroccan tennis coach at Saudi Tennis Federation from side to side.

Al Saad set up a weekend double when he teamed with fellow Saudi tennister Omar Thaqib on Thursday to beat Bader Mogail and Yassir Bouyahya 6-4, 5-7, 6-4 in the Class A men’s doubles final.

The thrilling match lasted for more than two hours as both pairs played excellent tennis.

The awards ceremony followed the Class A final clash on Friday. Representatives of tournament sponsors that attended the awarding were: Elias Eramouni of Banque Saudi Fransi, Air France-KLM’s Bassam Jallad, Naim of DELTAZ (Racquet shop) Ahmad Haroon of Power Horse, Naveed of SGB and Mohamed Abureida of Gautier-Al Mutlaq.

Also, Inter-Con Recreation Manager Mounir Melliti, chairman of the tournament committee, and Tournament Director Edwin Ignacio thanked the sponsors, players and all those who helped make the tournament a big success. The members of the tournament committee include Lito Punay, Marvin Espina and Edzel Ignacio

The month-long tournament showcased the biggest names in Saudi tennis and expatriate tennis community in the Kingdom.
