Janssen GCC setting new standards in medical care

Janssen GCC is one of the top ten pharmaceutical companies operating in GCC countries. It was established in 1984 with its head office located in Riyadh. More than 230 employees from 10 different nationalities are striving to help patients in the region to live more normal lives. Throughout the years, it has established strategic partnerships with some of the well established local health care companies like Al Haya, Tamr, Al Gossaibi, Riyadh Pharma and SPIMACO.
Janssen GCC has established a long-term alliance with many local organizations, societies and communities aiming to raise awareness about some disease areas and help to improve the overall health care system in GCC countries.
Janssen’s strength lies in what it values: customers, innovation, people and performance.
Marc Vinck, ambassador of Belgium, says: “I think I can rightfully say that thanks to Dr. Waleed El Abd, MD, Janssen GCC, and his team Janssen Pharmaceuticals has built a solid reputation of a reliable, responsible and innovative partner in providing health care solutions in a region where the healthcare sector is rapidly evolving.” The Janssen market approach in the Kingdom is a good example to follow by other Belgian companies active in the Kingdom.
Belgian Vice PM, and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Trade and European Affairs Didier Reynders on an official visit in the Kingdom, bestowed on Dr. El Abd the prestigious Belgian award of “Officer in the Order of Leopold II” during his visit at the HQ of the company in Riyadh.
The ceremony was attended by Senior Vice President for Janssen Pharmaceutica in Belgium Ludo Lauwers, Area Managing Director MEWA (Middle East, West Asia, African territories) Khaled Mansour, and many personalities from the Saudi health sector.
