Etihad Etisalat (Mobily) is participating in the annual GSMA’s World Mobile Congress that kicked off in Barcelona, Spain on Monday.
Mobily aims to deliver its innovation concepts that will maintain the company’s leadership in data and application in the region, Mobily’s MD & CEO Khalid Al-Kaf said.
“Participating in GSMA’s World Mobile Congress 2013 is part of our efforts toward realizing the company’s vision through sharing experiences in the telecom sector with giant international mobile operators, vendors and devices manufacturers,” Al-Kaf added.
Mobily executives will be able to meet many CEOs and experts in wireless technology and discuss telecom innovations with a view to exploring future opportunities in mobile services. Discussions during the congress will focus on mutual cooperation and result in signing a number of agreements.
The GSMA represents the interests of mobile operators worldwide. Spanning more than 220 countries, the GSMA unites nearly 800 of the world’s mobile operators with more than 230 companies in the broader mobile ecosystem, including handset makers, software companies, equipment providers and Internet companies, as well as organizations in industry sectors such as financial services, health care, media, transport and utilities.
