The largest concrete pour was performed in Jubail recently by Nasser S. Al-Hajri Corporation (NSH). The pour started with the waving of green flags by the top management executives and managers of Sadara, Daelim, and NSH. The mega pour was completed within a record time of 18 hours at an average of 275 m3 / hr. This is also a record by QANBAR Readymix.
This job was conceived early this year. A series of technical discussions and presentations were performed, involving site and home design teams of Sadara, Daelim and NSH. This event was led by Sadara Project Manager Abdullah Al-Masoud.
This job consisted of 465 MT of rebar and 350 m2 of forms, constructed by 125 people working via rigorous planning to complete this job within 23 days. "This is a record in Jubail industrial area," said Team NSH leader and project manager Aziz Ahmad Siddiqui.
He praised the Daelim Site Manager Ki-Bong Lee and Sadara Chem. 2 Construction Leader Dave Rizzo, who lent their full support for the project's success.
This “mega” concrete was supplied by QANBAR ready mix. They deployed eight pump trucks with six in operation and 50 mix trucks from their five plants in Jubail 1&2. The team leader Sharif Kamal Ali, BDM and board member generated the detail planning for this success.
This was a job "well done" which delighted all, from the first craftsman to the Sadara Chemicals I/II Project Director Wolfgang Beer.
"This achievement has once again proved that Nasser S. Al-Hajri Corporation is a highly professional and trusted construction partner for any and all challenging endeavors," said Siddiqui.
