STC offers prizes to SAWA subscribers who verify personal information

Saudi Telecom Company (STC) is giving away many valuable prizes during its “10 years. SAWA stronger” campaign, which runs every 2 weeks for 10 months. The prizes, valued at millions of riyals, range from luxurious BMW cars, smart phones, to various services. The campaign is aimed exclusively at SAWA customers who renew or verify their personal information.
The campaign comes in correlation with the new regulation set by the Communication and Information Technology Commission (CITC) on SIM cards. In accordance with the new regulation, customers will need to input their national identification number (iqama) immediately after entering their prepaid card number to charge SIM cards, recharge, or transfer balances. The information entered must match with the information provided when subscribing to any telecommunication service, otherwise the SIM card will not recharge.
In an effort to make the transition as smooth and simple for its customers as possible, STC has facilitated the data verification process and employed its customer-care centers for this purpose. Customers are able to change or verify their personal information with STC through these centers, or through STC Online.
All SAWA subscribers who renew or verify their personal information can find out about the offers available to them by sending an SMS “2012” to #902, and should receive a text message back confirming the offer, in addition to having the opportunity to win valuable prizes which is detailed in the message as well.
Customers can recharge their SAWA prepaid SIM card by calling *155*, followed by the card’s number and ( * ) then typing the national identification number (iqama) followed by ( # ), then pressing the “call” key. An example:
