Detecon Al Saudia Co. Ltd. (Detasad) announced the appointment of Felix Wass as its new president and CEO effective Jan. 1.
Wass started his career in Siemens holding responsibilities for network engineering, product management, development and sales. He held roles as group VP engineering and CTO for a pan-European TETRA operator, managed a 3G network rollout in the UK and as CTO and CIO of a mobile operator. After leading the restructuring and turnaround of a Vodafone partner operator in the CIS, he transformed a former handset distributor to a full service system integrator.
Having lived in Europe, Middle East, CIS and South East Asia, Felix has a record of accomplishment in building and leading diversified, multicultural teams.
Building on its success story of more than 30 years as a major player in the ICT sector of Saudi Arabia, Detasad is well positioned to become a driving force in the exciting transformation of telecommunications and ICT services in the Kingdom.
