Cities across the Kingdom recently witnessed difficult weather conditions, and the streets were overwhelmed by torrential rain. Some families suffered considerable damage to their homes, furniture and appliances.
Ikea took it upon itself to refurbish some homes, replacing their living rooms with new ones.
“At Ikea Saudi Arabia, we believe in overcoming challenges and offering a helping hand wherever we can. As a company, we strive to bring the sunshine back to peoples’ lives, and put a smile of their face. So Ikea visited numerous flood-affected houses and refurbished their homes, replacing their living rooms with new ones and brought families back together in the space where they create memories,” the Swedish furniture giant said in a press release.
“Just like you, we believe in helping the community. After all, we’re all part of the same family, and we all hope for creating a better everyday life for the many people,” it added. Ikea quoted the words of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him): “The believers in their mutual kindness, compassion and sympathy are just like one body. When one of the limbs suffers, the whole body responds to it with wakefulness and fever.”
