Panasonic has introduced its latest flagship model of the popular “Travel Zoom” TZ Series, the Lumix DMC-TZ220. Enhancing its zoom power to 15x, the Lumix TZ220 with 1-inch large high sensitivity MOS sensor claims to offer more versatile uses and high picture quality, including ultra-high resolution 4K video.

The Lumix TZ220 features new 24 mm ultra-wide angle Leica DC Vario-Elmar lens with 15x optical zoom (35 mm camera equivalent: 24-360 mm) and 5-Axis Hybrid O.I.S.+ (optical image stabilizer plus) to provide a versatile angle of view while suppressing hand-shake in both photo and video recording. It also enables macro shots as close as 3 cm.

Kunihiro Tanikura, general manager, Panasonic Marketing Middle East and Africa (PMMAF), said: “Our cameras have always been favorites of camera enthusiasts not only because of high performance and reliability, but also because of powerful features.

Among the many standout features of the TZ220 is its 15x power zoom, which is a dramatic extension of an already mighty 10x optical zoom on the predecessor TZ100. This kind of versatile zoom range from TZ220 lets you capture virtually any subject, in any situation — from dynamic landscapes to distant subjects, which is especially helpful when traveling. No wonder, TZ220 was recently cited at the TIPA awards as the best expert compact camera!”
