Justice League comes to Marina Mall Abu Dhabi

The Justice League is coming to Marina Mall Abu Dhabi this Eid Al-Adha from Aug. 11 until Aug. 20, offering hours of fun-filled family entertainment.

The event features daily live shows with activities, crafts workshops, virtual reality and gaming during the 10 days. 

DC Comic’s famous superheroes Batman, Wonder Woman, Superman and The Flash will be performing live at the mall offering three shows daily. As part of the show, kids will train alongside the superheroes as new recruits to instill the values of truth, fairness, hope, discipline and teamwork.

Kids also have the chance to win goodie bags by taking part in the quiz hosted during the live shows. 

In addition to the daily live shows, visitors to the mall will also have the chance to get up close and personal with the larger-than-life characters as they explore Marina Mall Abu Dhabi to meet and greet their fans. 

Customers who have shopped at the mall can present their receipts at the customer service desk to collect wristbands based on their spending, which will give access to different activities. Customers with a spend of 150 dirhams ($40) will get wristbands enabling them access to watch the show, while those with a spend of 200 dirhams get access to the show as well as activation zones. A spend of 250 dirhams gets them wristbands with complete access to all zones including the meet and greet with the superheroes.

Saudi Electricity Company celebrates new graduates

JEDDAH: The Saudi Electricity Co.’s (SEC) Higher Training Institute in Jeddah celebrated the graduation of fresh trainees on Sunday.

This is the SEC’s final celebration of graduates this year. The training program is part of the company’s policy of bolstering its manpower with young, highly capable Saudi professionals who will help it better serve its customers and maintain its leadership in the industry.

Senior SEC officials praised the graduates for the technical capabilities that they gained from their training at the institute.

Graduate Ibrahim Al-Bakri delivered a speech on behalf of his peers, thanking the SEC and the trainers for caring for them throughout the training period.

In a speech, Abdulrahman Al-Obayed, senior vice president of human resources, who patronized the event, welcomed the graduates to the SEC.

He encouraged them to maintain their drive, move up through the company’s ranks and be proud staff members. He then honored the year’s standout students and trainers.
