Mohamed Yousuf Naghi Motors (MYNM), the authorized dealer of Ford in the western and southern regions of Saudi Arabia, has announced the winner and proud owner of a new Ford Escort 2020 — the prize of a promotional campaign launched by MNYM-Ford at the 41st Saudi International Motor Show (SIMS) 2019.
Mohamed Al-Shehri, the lucky winner, said: “It is hard to find the right words that describe my emotions. I am deeply thankful and grateful for MYNM’s illustrious gift. The Escort 2020 will be my regular companion on the roads of my beloved Kingdom from now on.”
During the show, around 2,000 participants rushed to fill their details for the raffle draw event, which took place on Jan. 12 at MYNM-Ford Jeddah Haramain branch. The draw was held in the presence of a representative from the Jeddah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (JCCI), in addition to Ahmed El-Egaky, sales director at MYNM-Ford, and Essam Nauwar, marketing director at MYNM. General Manager of Ford and Lincoln Isam Abunabah and Western Region Manager Khalid Al-Qadi were present on the delivery day.
“Designed to meet the stringent demands of contemporary global drivers, the all-new Ford Escort 2020 provides unrivaled and multidimensional value with aplomb. It combines a tasteful design brimming with Ford’s new brand identity, along with a comfortable, spacious and functional interior that will make the kilometers fly past,” a statement said.
The car is equipped with an “energetic and extremely economical” 1.5L TI-VCT engine (123 hp/150 NM) with 18.6 km/L Excellent+ rating from SASO.
Moreover, the new Escort 2020 ticks all the boxes for a safe vehicle. It uses a significant amount of boron steel, which is super lightweight and four times stronger than regular steel. Moreover, it employs a multi-directional airbag protection system, in addition to ABS, ESC and ISOFIX, as standard equipment. The car is available in three grades of progressive equipment levels that add more luxurious features along the way, such as HID auto lamps, LED daylight running lamps, fog lamps, 17-inch wheels, in addition to sunroof and leather seats.
Al-Shehri added: “A friend who had seen the advertising told me about the promotional campaign. I immediately decided to participate, although I did not expect to win. I am just so elated, and the whole journey of realizing my fantasy, from visiting Ford’s alluring stand at SIMS to receiving the winning call of the marvelous Ford Escort 2020, all the way to holding the keys and driving off with the car from the fascinating showroom, has been fantastic.”
